Salman hikes his price to 50 crores

After the recent success of his movies, Salman Khan has hiked his price to Rs 50 cores. The actor who was charging 40 crores for a movie will now take home a whopping amount of Rs 50 crores.

Salman Khan has not only hiked his fees but also become very choosy when it comes to director. When he signs a film, he also gives suggestion of suitable directors to the makers.

“Salman is not only quoting a fee close to Rs 50 crore, he is also 'recommending' (Ready: appointing) directors for these films. Like, for the T Series project Salman has put forward the names of two directors and has asked producer Bhushan Kumar to choose from one of them. Furthermore, he insisted on Sonakshi Sinha for Kick and now he's recommending Zarine Khan to his prospective producers," a source told film expert Subhash K Jha.

Filmmaker Bhushan Kumar confirms that Sallu has re-structured his fee, "When Salman bhai did Ready the film industry was facing a huge financial crunch. But he agreed to cut down his price from Rs 40 crore to Rs 17 crore. This was the only way we could have made Ready at that time. Now the market has changed for the entire film industry. So, we are currently re-negotiating with him for our next film."

'I am not dating Ranbir', Shraddha

Shakti Kapoor’s daughter Shraddha Kapoor is yet to show her acting prowess to the world but she had already started making news for all wrong reasons.  The newbie is rumored to be dating the heartthrob of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor.   But the actress vehemently denied.

When asked about her take on the issue, Shraddha clearly denied the report, “I don’t want to talk about my personal life. Ranbir is a fantastic guy. I don’t know from where these rumours have come up. I am not dating him,” she said.

It is also heard that Ranbir has asked his close friend director Ayan Mukherjee to cast Shraddha in his coming project.

Shraddha, however rebuffs the rumour, “Ayan (Mukherjee) is my good friend. If he comes up with anything interesting, I would love to be part of it.”

However, Shraddha expressed her desire to work with Ranbir, “I would love to work with Ranbir (Kapoor), Imran (Khan) and Hrithik (Roshan).

The actor concluded that she is not wary of rumours and controversies and said, “They are part and parcel of our lives. We have to deal with it, there’s no escape.”

For the first time, she walked the ramp for designer Anju Modi.

Sanju baba to play Salman Khan's father

After an ugly tiff, Salman Khan has finally convinced his best friend Sanjay Dutt to be his father. Salman and Sanjay had been thick friends in the industry over the years. So when Salman asked Sanju Baba to play his father, he can’t say no. Actually, in ‘Bodygurad’, Salman wants a masculine, rough and tough body hero to enact the role of his father and he finds Sanjay the perfect choice.

A source said, "Salman had actually made the offer of his father`s role to Sanju two days earlier, and the latter just laughed it off.  At the party last Thursday, he brought it up again. This time, Sanju lost his cool and an angry scene ensued."

All knows if Salman wants something, he would have it by any means. Salman is a person who always stands by his friend in need and so when he approached Sanju Baba, he readily agreed. “Salman is not being unrealistic or spiteful by offering Dutt his father`s role. Salman is the kind of person who would do anything for a friend. If Dutt asked him to play a walk-on part in a film, Salman wouldn`t think twice before doing it. So he sees nothing wrong in offering Dutt his father`s role, and he won`t take a no for an answer," added the source.

Sanjay Dutt invites SRK for a private dinner

Sanjay Dutt is going to open a new chapter of rivalry with Salman Khan. Sanju Baba has done a big blunder by inviting Shahrukh Khan at his residence when he is going to start Big Boss 5 with Sallu Miya. The occasion was Manyata’s birthdday bash. Sanjay did not invite Shahrukh to the party due to Salman’s presence and to recompense the ocassion, he invited King Khan for a private dinner at his Imperial heights residence.  

SRK was not alone but Dutt invited the key crew and starcast of Ra.one on the occasion of completion of the film's shoot.

Co-star Arjun Rampal, was also present at the private party thrown by Sanjay. Rampal tweeted about the pasrty, on a micro blogging site, "Spent a lovely time with Sanjay Dutt and Srk last night. Will post a pic.(sic)"

"Shah bhai is immensely impressed with Dutt's whole hearted contribution towards his film Ra. One and also gifted Baba an expensive chopper bike. He didn't want to hurt Sanju , so SRK acknowledged the actor for a bash," added a source.

Priyanka, Shahid involve in intense love

Ex lovers Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor involved in some intense love making scene for Kunal Kohlis next untitled film.  The couple that always made news for their on and off relationship off late called off their relationship. But the duo showed professionalism on the set of Kunal Kohli’s film and agreed to portray the love making scene.

A source revealed, "It`s going to be uncomfortable. But given the level of professionalism these two display, it shouldn`t be that much trouble. Both of them are excited about this project and want to make sure their personal equation doesn`t affect it."

After break-up, Sasha and Piggy Chops moved on. Priyanka busy gelling up with good friend Shahrukh while Shahid is rumored to be dating John Abraham’s ex-flame Bipasha basu.

Salman Khan’s birthday gift to Katrina Kaif

On her 29th birthday, Salman Khan has promised a film to Katrina Kaif in 2012. He said that he will produce a film in 2012 in which Kat will play the lead role. The ex-lovers turns friends are shooting together for Kabir Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’.

Both Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are riding high in their career. Kat is receiving lots of accolades for her performance in ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ while Salman Khan received lots of praise for ‘Dabangg’  and ‘Ready’ while his next release ‘Bodyguard’ is considered to be the next hit.

Speaking about Salman’s promise, as source said, "He was in very good mood and he was thrilled to be able to spend some time with her on the special day. He said that he wanted to make a film for her under his own banner and that he would start working on it some time next year. Even though there`s no script in place, he definitely wants to have a team working on a project for the two of them."

Usually, exes avoid film opposite each other but here Salman and Katrina stands exception.

Vidya to smooch Emraan Hashmi

Vidya Balan will not only shed her clothes in ‘Dirty Picture’ but she will also do an intense lip-locking scene with the serial kisser of Bollywood, Emraan Hashmi. Vidya will play the role of south sensation Silk Smitha in the movie and she has shed all her inhibitions to get into the character.

Director Milan Luthria and producer Ekta Kapoor called up Emraan and asked him to do this special lip-locking scene with Vidya in the film. Emraan who had earlier worked with Balaji Films agreed to portray this special scene.  Not only Emraan but Vidya has some intimate scene with Tusshar Kapoor also.

Let’s hope, Vidya and Emraan pull the kissing scene passionately and woo their audience.

Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan together to host Bigg Boss this season

Bigg Boss has a history of not repeating their host but for the first time they will break their rule and repeat Salman Khan again as the host of the show with only one deviation This time he will not be alone, Sallu will be joined by Sanjay Dutt. Salman Khan has hosted the fourth season of Bigg Boss but for the first time Sanju Baba will be hosting the show.

"Over the last three years, Colors has taken `Bigg Boss` to newer heights of entertainment and popularity. Now, with both Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt as hosts, we are sure that the appeal of `Bigg Boss- season 5` will touch unprecedented heights," Head of Programming, Colors, Ashvini Yardi said.

‘Big Boss’ is a very popular show on Colors where contestants are locked in a house for three months and their movements are watched though hidden cameras installed in various parts of the house. The show will go on air in October.

SRK held at Mumbai airport

Shahrukh Khan’s London and Holland trip with his family proved too pricey for him. On landing at Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, he was stopped by the custom officials for carrying excess baggage. He was released ony after paying custom duty of Rs 1.5 lakh.

He was stopped for interrogation while his family was allowed to go home. Only after extensive investigation and paying a hefty custom duty, King Khan was allowed to go home.

King Khan and his family have done excess shopping and they retuned back with 20 baggage.  He was treated like any general public and was not provided any special treatment.  

An eyewitness says, "The customs treated Khan, no differently than other passengers. They didn't give him any special treatment. He wasn't even allowed to make a phone call."

Customs commissioner, P M Govande confirms, "Yes, he was interrogated but it is a routine thing. Whenever people bring stuff they have to pay duty on it.

It was nearly R 1.5 lakh and the interrogation took time because he was carrying a lot of stuff."

Saif and Kareena's marriage on Valentine's Day

Speculation is ripe that Saifeena will tie the knot on the Valentine’s Day in 2012. The duo will exchange rings on the same day itself. Though the duo is tight-lipped about their coming wedding, the couple has been discussing marriage with close ones.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are going steady and steady with their relationship for amny years and they are very desperate to walk down the aisle but the only thing that is coming along their way is their career.

Kareena is in her best phase of her career. She has couple of promising projects lined up for release and looking forward to it eagerly. Yuvraj and Neha -a hot couple

The new hottest couple who is currently hitting the headlines is cricketer Yuvraj Singh and actress Neha Dhupia.  After splitting-up with squash player Ritwik Bhattacharya, Neha has moved on. She found a new friend and well-wisher in Yuvraj. The duo meets very often and their movement throws a signal that they are more than friends.

"They get along well. Neha is quite into sports herself. But they are just friends; I don't think Neha is looking at getting into a relationship yet, although they do make a good pair," said a friend of the actress.

Neha and Yuvi communicate via twitter and also at times get naughty. He tweeted, “Did you shake your biscuit” (a line from a song in ‘Delhi Belly’).

Neha sportingly replied, “Bhaag Bhaag DK Bose.”

A source close to the cricketer said, “Yuvi hates speculation about his personal life and decided to stop talking about it altogether.”

Well, in the past one and a half year Yuvraj Singh have dated dozen of actresses  it is possible that Neha is one among them.

Bipasha is dating Shahid Kapoor

Rumor is ripe that the sultry actress Bipasha Basu is dating none other than Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor. These days Bips is keeping very happy and seems to be enjoying her new found friend’s company very much.

A source said, “For over a month now, Bipasha has been talking about a very sweet guy in her life. She`s been telling friends that he`s an eligible young man and has been showering her with gifts and some much-needed attention. She`s been gushing to her friends about how ‘sweet and affectionate’ he is. Bips maintains that while they are not serious yet, he`s been wooing her persistently and she`s basking in the warmth of his adoration.”

Now the question is how the two get to know each other when they have not done any films together.  So here’s is the man who introduced Shahid to Bipasha. He is Shahid`s trainer, Abbas. Shahid is a fitness freak and so is Bipasha and this is the common bonding subject between the two.

“Obviously they are only just getting to know each other, so Bips doesn`t want to jinx it by talking openly about Shahid,” added the source.

Recently, Shahid threw a small party with only few friends and Bips was the only elite among his guests.

When asked, Bipasha claims she hardly knows Shahid. His spokesperson on the other hand says, “They are friends, just as he is friends with other people in the industry. The news of them dating is untrue.”

The super-hit Munnabhai and Circuit Jodi is back again

After the super duper success of the first and the second series of Munnabhai, Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi Jodi is back with Rajkumar Hirani’s new flick, ‘Munna Bhai Chale Amerika’. The director confirmed that he is working on the script and as soon as he finishes working on it, he will start the shooting.

He said, "I am writing it and will direct it as and when the script is ready."

Rubbishing all rumors about the third series of the flick being stalled, a source while talking to a daily said, "Hirani has been working on the Munnabhai script with his writer Abhijat Joshi in the US and they will soon declare the film. They are planning to go ahead with the film in February next year with Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi while the leading ladies are still to be decided."

Munnabhai and Circuit a created a new chapter of laughter with ‘Munnabhai M.B.B.S’ and ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’. Hope, their combination works again.

Katrina Kaif to romance Ranbir Kapoor again

After splitting up with Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif has moved on in life. She has not hesitation in sharing screen space with her ex-lovers. She has signed film with Salman Khan and also ready to star opposite Ranbir Kapur for Ayan Mukherjee’s next flick.

Ayan is a very good friend of Ranbir and Katrina and hence they agreed to forget the past and concentrate on the future.

A source close to the actress said, "Katrina has consented to star in the fim. However, she is yet to sign the dotted line. It has been a long time now. Katrina has put her relationship with Ranbir behind her. She is ready to move on.”

"Katrina is totally focused on work now. She is back to being her usual happy and chirpy self. Life doesn't stop due to breakups. Why shouldn't she work with Ranbir?" further added the source.

Though Ayaan is well aware of their break-up, he is determined to rope Kat opposite Ranbir as he feels Kat only suits the role. However, he also considered Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma for the role but Kat was his top most priority. He has written the script keeping Kat and Ranbir in mind. The film will be directed by eminent filmmaker, Karan Johar.

Priyanka to do a cameo for SRK's Ra-One

Shahrukh Khan is leaving no stone unturned to give his highly anticipated film, ‘Ra-One’ a star studded look. He has now roped Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt to do a cameo for the movie. Shahrukh likes Sanju Baba’s bald look in ‘Agneepath’ and he asked him to do a special appearance for his movie. King Khan looked upon Sanjay as his elder brother and so when he approached Sanjay for the small cameo, he readily agreed.

Priyanka Chopra shared screen space with Shahrukh Khan in ‘Don’ and has also done an item number with him in ‘Billu’. SRK feels that Priyanka is a great actress and she has got a lot of talents. Priyanka is more than happy to accept his proposal.

Both Priyanka and Sanjay are shooting for Karan Johar’s ‘Agneepath’ and being the best buddy of Shahrukh, Karan gave the two stars two days off from his shooting schedule.

Anushka Sharma to play Ajay's love interest in Vishal's next

Anushka Sharma has grabbed another meaty project. She will play Ajay Devgan’s love interest in Vishal Bharadwaj’s next flick to be produced by Vishal, Ajay and Kumar Mangat. Highly impressed with Anushka’s performance in ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and ‘Band Baaja Baraat’, Vishal is keen to sign Anushka Sharma.

When Vishal approached Anushka, she immediately accepted the movie as the atress always wanted to work with the ‘Omkara’ director.

The film will go on floors next year in mid January. This is the first time Anushka and Ajay will share screen space together.

Salman Khan & Katrina Kaif refuses to lock-lips

In the long tenure of acting career, Salman Khan has never locked lips with his heroines as the actor is not comfortable in doing so. He maintains the same for Kabir Khan’s next flick, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ where he is paired opposite his ex-flame Katrina Kaif. The duo will maintain the no-kiss clause for their next film.

However, Kat is adamant not to lip-lock with her co-stars but she broke the clause for ‘New York’ and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ but makes sure that she would never kiss in her films.

Says a source, "Kabir Khan had convinced Katrina  for the only kissing scene she has done so far in New York.

He was sure she would see how important it was. But with both Salman and Katrina adamant on the no-kiss policy there was no choice but to drop it."

Katrina admits she has broken her no-kiss clause for ZNMD. "Yes, there's a fleeting kiss with Hritik. It was something that had to be done. But that apart, my stand on kissing remains unchanged," she says

Hrithik's look in 'Agneepath' revealed

Hrithik Roshan will live Amitabh Bachchan’s role as Dinanath Chauhan in Karan Johar’s ‘Agneepath’ remake. The actor has toned his body to fit into the role. The first look saw Hrithik running with a red band around his head, wearing a red outfit with splashes of color over his face and body.  Sanjay Dutt steps into the role of a villain which was originally portrayed by Danny Denzongpa. Sanjay shaved off his head to look deadly in the movie.

Priyanka Chopra is playing the female lead. Rishi kapoorwill be seen in a negative role. The role of Mithun Chakraborty was omitted in the remake. Directd by Karan Malhotra, the film will see the light of the day on January 13, 2010.

Hrithik’s look in the film was revealed when Karan Johar officially posted the link to the Agneepath's facebook page on twitter.

Produced by Karan Johar’s father late Yash Johar, the film failed at the box-office but Big B’s role as Dinanath Chauhan was appreciated.

Jacqueline splits-up with her boyfriend

Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez breaks-up with her boyfriend Bahrain's Prince Sheikh Hassan bin Rashid Al Khalifa. They were in a serious relationship for two years. The couple is said to have broken up over marriage issue. Jacqueline wanted to firm her foot in Bollywood while her boyfriend wanted to settle down.

Few days back, it was reported that the actress has been engaged to Prince Sheikh.  Ever since, Jacqueline stared to concentrate on her career, the distance between them widened. Hassan knows that she is interested in acting and never stopped her signing films. He was very supportive but it was Jacqueline who put him on the backburner.
