Dev Anand dies in London

Legendry actor Dev Anand died in London last night following heart attack. He was 88. Dev Anand acted in over 100 films. He travelled to London with his son Sunil Anand for medical check-up as he was not keeping well for few days.

He debuted with the film, ‘Hum Ek Din’ in 1946. His biggest blockbuster was ‘Ziddi’ and from this there was no looking back. He has in his credits films like Paying Guest, Baazi, Jewel Thief, CID, Guide, Johny Mera Naam, Amir Garib, Warrant, Hare Rama Hare Krishna and Des Pardes.

He was honored with Padma Bhushan in 2001 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2002 for his outstanding contribution to Hindi Cinema. He has a special love for films and film making. The songs of his films were chartbusters and was listened with equal thrill even today.

His last film was ‘Chargesheet’ in 2011. Dev Anand will always be remembered for his unique style. His departure is a big loss to the Hindi film industry.

Poonam Pandey came into limelight ever since she declared to go nude if India wins the World Cup. She is very much related to cricket from the days of World Cup. Her cricketing mania has taken her to a new level of madness. She has posted a nude pic of her holding a framed pic of Lord Vishnu with cricket legend Sachin Tendular’s face morphed on the God.
The picture also shows a Pakistan cricketer bowing before the framed photo. The image is very insulting as the God was shown holding a bat, a ball, a helmet and world cup in his hands.
Poonam tweeted about the picture, She wrote, “TweetHrts & All my Fans round d World i do appreciate ur Love towards me but such edited pix really hurt me as for me Cricket is a RELIGION (sic).”
Poonam declined posting the picture on the web and expressed her shock.
“Had Seen Few Pix Photoshoped oh RaOne ,Then also Singham ect. but never thot someone wud make a pic of mine like this . Crzy people lol (sic).”

Jacqueline Fernandez refuses to kiss Hrithik

Jacqueline Fernandez lost the chance of acting in ‘Krrish’ sequel due to her beau Sajid Khan. The film requires Jacqueline to kiss Hrithik Roshan but the actress walks out of the project as the film demands a smooching scene with the hunk but Sajid barred his girlfriend from doing intimate scene.

Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan went to meet Jacqueline on the set of ‘Housefull 2’ but he came back empty handed.  A source informs, “But Rakesh`s visit to Filmistan proved to be a futile exercise. The meeting at Filmistan Studios ended on a very ugly note. The meeting did not go as planned for sure. It is however unclear whether Jacqueline opted out or Rakesh Roshan sacked her.”

Before Jacqueline, Chitrangada Singh was approached for the female lead but he walked out of the project as she did not like the script. She does not require a cameo but a full-fledged role.

However, Jacqueline`s business manager confirmed the news and said, “It is very unfortunate that Jacqueline is no longer a part of the ‘Krrish’ sequel because of date issues. We tried our level best to work out dates for the next five to six months but things were simply not working out.”

Priyanka to star in 'Race 2'

According to the latest buzz, sexy Priyanka Chopra will star in Abbas-Mustan’s ‘Race 2’ to be produced by Ramesh Tarauni. At first, Deepika Padukone was considered for the role but the actress did not sign it due to some unknown reason. Now the makers shifted their choice to Priyanka Chopra who has done some good actions in her past films.

The source explained, "The producers of the film have already spoken to Priyanka, who is sorting out her dates. After the success of Race, the writers of the film and Abbas-Mustan took their time before finalising the sequel. Abbas-Mustan were sure that they would only start the film, if they got the right script. Now, the makers are awaiting Priyanka to officially come on-board."

From the original Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor has been kept. In the sequel to 'Race 2’, we will get to see some new faces like John Abraham in negative role, Sonakshi Sinha and Priyanka as the second lead actress. ‘Race 2’ promises to be more action, more thrill and more twists and turns.

Shobraj's wife Nihita on 'Bigg Boss 5'

Well known serial killer and smuggler Charles Shobraj’s wife Nihita Biswas will be a part of ‘Bigg Boss 5’. Nihita came into limelight when she married Shobraj in a jail in Nepal. Charles Shobraj is serving life imprisonment in Nepal.

Nihita has confirmed her presence on the show and she will be arriving in India by the end of September to shoot for the show.

A source said, “The show depicts the lives of a handful of celebrities put together under one roof. Their stay at the house is captured on camera. Nihita, who is the wife of one of the most dreaded serial killers in the world will obviously add to the show’s attraction. The channel got in touch with her last week and she has signed on for the show.”

`Big Boss` is famous for participation of controversial inmates. In one of the seasons, Monica Bedi wife of dreaded gangster Abu Salem was also a part of the show.

Nihita’s presence on the show will surely raise the TRPs of the show. A source revealed, “Charles was arrested in Nepal and was serving a sentence for killing a Canadian tourist in Kathmandu in 1975. Nihita had come to meet him and his interpreter. Charles and Nihita fell in love. He married her in October 2008 on the occasion of Bada Dashami in jail. The following day, Nepalese jail authorities dismissed all claims of their marriage. However, both Charles and Nihita claimed that they are married.”

Meanwhile Ashvini Yardi, the programming head of the channel refused to confirm Nihita’s presence in the show and said, “We’re in the process of finalising contestants. And do not comment on speculations.”

Superstar Rajinikanth to do a cameo in SRK's 'Ra.One'

More glamour and surprises are adding to Shahrukh Khan’s highly anticipated film, ‘Ra.One’. The latest about the movie is that south superstar Rajinikanth will be seen in a cameo in the action oriented film. Rajinikanth who is famous for his unique action and stunts will be doing a small action sequences with arms and gadgets struck to his weapons. His entry will be in a car.

The film will be an attraction for the Rajini fan because after illness, this would be Rajinikanth’s first film shooting. The shooting will take place in Ramoji studio in Hyderabad on October 4. The film will be a tribute to Rajinikantha and Aishwarya starrer, ‘Robot’.

Informs a source, ‘In the sequence he will deliver his super-hit dialogue from the film Bhasha’.

Angry Amitabh Bachchan walks out of an event

At the music launch of ‘The Weekend’,Amitabh Bachchan was invited as a special guest but things went wrong when media questioned him about his good friend cum politician Amar Singh. Big B did not like anybody asking him about Amar Singh who is in hospital. He was miffed.

When Amitabh Bachchan was questioned, “Your good friend Amar Singh is in hospital. Do you have anything to say to him?” the megastar did not answer the question and maintained a stern silence. He remained at the event for few minutes and later left the event with dignity.

Big B’s action clearly indicates that he was upset with the entire episode.

SRK highly upset as ,'Ra.One' music leaked on net

Shahrukh Khanis highly upset as the music of his highly anticipated movie; ‘Ra.One’ was leaked on net just two days before its official release. Shahrukh Khan appeals everyone not to download the music of the movie illegally.

"How sad it is that someone somewhere has no regard for our labour of love. 5 yrs of work and they put it on net so callously. Extremely sad...," Shah Rukh posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

The audio of ‘Ra.One’ will be released on September 12. Music director duo Vishal-Shekher also tweeted "Show your support for 'RA.One' and SRK. Don't download illegally."

To which the director Anubhav Sinha added, "Appeal. Everyone who has an illegal 'RA.One' track, DELETE IT."

"RA.One", a superhero film will hit the theatre worldwide on Oct 26.

'Salman is number one box office star', Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan who is known for his perfectionism and high quality movie rated Salman Khan as the number one box office star.  Salman Khan’s new release, ‘Bodyguard’ breaks all the box office collection and set a new record. For the last few years, his charisma is keeping the box office bell ringing. Aamir praises Salman to the heavens.

"According to me Salman is ahead of me. In the manner in which his film `Bodyguard` has got an opening, it has broken all records and today according to me, if there is anyone who is the number one box office star, then that is Salman," said Aamir.

"He has proved with this film that he is ahead of all of us. I am very happy that his film is doing well. My good wishes are with him," Aamir told reporters here at the music launch of the film `Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster`," he added.

"Few days back I even had a chat with him on phone because he is in America. I`m glad that his health is also much better now. Infact I was the one who gave him the good news of the massive opening box collections of `Bodyguard`," said Amir.

"I had texted his sister Alvira and I had told her that when Salman comes out of his surgery then show him my text first. I wanted to be the first one to give him this great news," he added.

The duo shared screen space long back in ‘Andaz Apna Apna’. Aamir expressed his desire to work with Salman Khan again if any good script comes.

Shahrukh Khan goes against his friends for Priyanka Chopra

As reported Gauri Khan is not very happy with Shahrukh Khan’s closeness to Priyanka Chopraand she snubbed her at the recently held Eid bash at Mannat. Priyanka was totally ignored at the party and when Hrithik Roshan went to share pleasantries with the actress, Gauri intervened and took him away. At the end of the bash, when Mehr questioned SRK for inviting Priyanka at the party, he favored Priyanka saying that Priyanka is also his good friend like all of them.

Informs a source, "Towards the end of the party, after many celebrities had left, Mehr pointed to SRK that not many people (including Gauri) were too fond of Priyanka. She asked him why Priyanka had been invited at all."

The actor-filmmaker doesn’tlike his guests questioning him about his guest list, "SRK told Mehr that Priyanka is a very good friend just like she and many others were to him. And if she had any problems, Mehr should address them directly with Priyanka, and not question SRK about inviting her over for his Eid party."

Priyanka and Shahrukh share a cordial relationship. In the past, the actress has supported SRK’s IPL team and she always ready to help King Khan whenever he needs. She has a special number in ‘Ra.One’ and in ‘Billu’ she has done a item number with Shahrukh Khan.

Sajid Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez to marry in 2012

Director Sajid Khan and actress Jacqueline Fernandez are very serious about their relationship and they are going to take their relationship a step ahead. They will tie the knot in 2012. They started dating each other ever since Jacqueline starred in Sajid Khan’s ‘Housefull 2’. They are very committed to each other and very much eager to spend the rest of the life together.

Saif and kareena busy in wedding preparations

Lovebirds Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are very excited to tie the knot. 2012 was the speculated year of their nuptial although the couple did not confirm the date. If the latest rumor is to be believed, designer Ritu Kumar is working on Kareena’s wedding outfit and Saif Ali Khan is busy selecting the perfect diamond wedding ring for his bride.

A source revealed, “Saif had asked for a selection of diamond rings from this jeweller based out of Bandra. They sent him rings of different cuts and carats. He had asked for princess cut diamonds and also a few other shapes.”

Saif has been the flattering, loving and diamond showering beau to Bebo ever since they started dating each other in 2007. He had gifted her a one carat diamond ring in October 2007 which had paparazzi going bonkers in order to capture a picture of it on Kareena’s finger.

“Kareena and Saif are ready to tie the knot in February next year. In fact, Saif had started ordering various designs of rings for a while now. He took his time deciding on the perfect ring for his girl and finally took the one he liked about a week back,” revealed the source to the tabloid.

It’s obvious why Kareena is so much in love with Saif. He has everything it takes to have a woman go head over heels for him, in a recent interview she said, “Of course, I want to marry Saif. Doesn`t every woman want to take her relationship to the next level? Saif and I are definitely going to marry.”

Salman to resume shooting from Sep 10

After the successful surgery in the US, Salman Khan will join the ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ team in Dublin on September 10. Basking in joy with the success of ‘Bodyguard’, Salman Khan is dying to return to action.

"Salman has to get a check-up done in three months to decide if he needs to get a second procedure done. He should commence shooting for Yash Raj soon in Dublin," said Atul Agnihotri, his brother-in-law and the producer of his blockbuster 'Bodyguard'.

"Salman has a trigeminal neuralgia with an AV malformation. He also has another rare complication. He has been treated in the US. The procedure took seven hours and it is successful," he added.

Sallu is highly thrilled with the box-office record of ‘Bodyguard’ and asks Atul to update him about the box-office figure.

"After the seven-hour surgery, the doctors had prescribed a strict regime for Salman to follow. But he has defied the rules, as usual. He's filled with mauj-masti in the US. Salman has been calling up his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri for the box office figures of Bodyguard. Though the doctors have predicted the possibility of a second surgery three months from now, Salman has healed with amazing dexterity, leaving even his surgeons flummoxed," said a source.

About Salman not paying attention to doctors' orders, Agnihotri said, "He is en route to recovery, defying post-operation instructions. That's Salman for you."

Ranveer Singh who is the current heartthrob of Bollywood said that he is an exhibitionist in real life and so he does not mind going nude on the silver screen.

“I have no problems going nude on screen. In fact given my lack of inhibitions, it will be easy for whoever is directing a nude scene with me as I am quite an exhibitionist in real life too,” said the lively star.

John interested in Vidya Balan

John Abraham is single now and doesn’t care making his choice of actresses. He is co-producing ‘Shootout at Wadala’ withSanjay Guptaand desperately wants Vidya Balan in the movie. The last time the duo paired was in ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’ in 2007 and ever since John and Vidya did not see eye to eye or worked in any film together.

The reason of their distance was John’s ex-flame Bipasha Basu. ‘S-E-I’ had an intense love making scene between John and Vidya which Bipasha did not like and she warned John to stay away from the actress. Now that Bips is no longer in the actor’s life, John became more independent to take any decision.

Vidya is wrapping up the shoting of ‘The Dirty Picture’ and only has Sanjay Ghosh’s ‘Kahani’ in hand, hence there is maximum possibility of the actress to star in the project.

Salman operated successfully, advised 15 days rest

Here is a good news for Salman Khan’s fans. The actor has been operated successfully and was advised 15 days complete rest.  Salman Khan who was suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia, a nerve disorder that causes intense pain in the face operated abroad. He left for the US on August 29.

"The surgery was done last night and lasted for five hours. It will take at least fifteen days for the actor to resume work and he is advised complete rest till then. Fresh tests will be conducted further to check the progress of recovery. The actor will then go to South Africa to shoot for Ek Tha Tiger," sources close to the actor told reporters.

Since 2007, the 'Dabangg' star has been suffering from the pain in his jaw while shooting for `Partner`. Over the years, it got worse but last year the condition was beyond controllable and finally, he has undergone a surgery in the US.

Sanjay Dutt's look in 'Agneepath' inspired by Marlon Brando

Karan Johar’s ‘Agneepath’ promo is out and everyone is praising Sanjay Dutt’s bald avatar. His look resemblance very much to Hollywood legend Marlon Bando in ‘Apocalypse Now’. The actor is playing Kancha Cheena which Danny Denzongpa played in the original.

Director Karan Malhotra  is awestruck with Sanju Baba’s look. "I must admit that I'm in awe of that look for sure, but Sanju sir has taken the next step forward," he said.

He further said that Sanjay Dutt was very supportive and professional and totally gave up to the director's choice.

He stated, "Sanju sir is not the kind of person who interferes. He goes by what the director says, and I'm lucky to have an actor who goes by the graph of his character and the movie."

Big B, Rishi Kapoor to share screen after 28 yrs

Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor are going to act alongside after 28 long years in Sudhir Mishra’s ‘Mehrunnisa.’. They were last seen together in Manmohan Desai’s Coolie in 1983.  Interestingly, Abhishek Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor will be play the young role of Amitabh and Rishi.

Talking about the project, a source revealed, “It is a script that Sudhir Mishra started writing in 1996. However, it failed to take off that time. Nikhil Advani was Sudhir’s assistant back then. After all these years, Nikhil approached Sudhir and asked him to rework the script. Saurabh Shukla is writing the dialogues for the film.”

Elucidating the storyline, the source said, “The film starts off with two old men played by Amitabh Bachan and Rishi Kapoor reminiscing about their past. Here is where Abhishek and Ranbir come in. They play their respective fathers’ younger selves.”

“Nikhil wanted to take this film on the floors this year. But both Ranbir and Abhishek are busy with other projects now. The film will go on floors only next year now,” said the source.

Neither Sudhir Mishra nor Nikhil Advani commented on the film. “Neither Nikhil nor Sudhir want to talk about the project right now. It’s a huge project and they want to announce it in a big way later. Both Amitabh and Rishi have loved the script and agreed to do it. In fact, the film should also star Sudhir’s favourite Chitrangda Singh,” added the source.

Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor earlier worked in blockbusters like ‘Amar Akbar Anthony,’ ‘Kabhie Kabhie’ and ‘Naseeb.’

I don't miss John Abraham, says Bipasha

Girls would feel jealous of Bipasha Basu when they used to see Bips on John’s arm. They were an example of perfect couple for eight long years but some mishap happened between the two and John and Bips called off their relationship. But they were bold enough to accept the unpleasant happening in their life and moved on.

John got busy to firm his foot in Bollywood while on the other hand Bipasha Basu got busy with her movies and side by side involved in making new friends. She said in an interview that she no longer miss John and has moved on in life.

"Nobody plans a break up or any negative thing in your life, when it happens you deal with it, life is such that it teaches you, it heals you and you move on. I don't miss John," Bipasha said on Zoom's "Superstar Weekends" show.

They starred in films like Mahesh Bhatt's "Jism", "Madhoshi" and "Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal".

Salman to head to US for treatment

Dashing and tough Salman Khan is now-a-days down with ill health. As confirmed by his brother Sohail Khan, Salman Khan is suffering from nerve problem and due to his deteriorate health, he was advised for a quick dash to the US for further treatment. 

A source said, “Salman had this problem about seven years back. He used to get spasms in his face. But the pain would go away. In fact, it vanished completely after a year or two. It suddenly came back about three months back. This time, it`s more painful. He couldn`t have neglected it further.”

Explaining about Salman’s deteriorating health, the source revealed, “Salman is in extreme pain. Every time he eats something extremely hot or cold, the pain intensifies. His jaw region hurts a lot.”

Last week, Salman was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra. “His pain was too acute. Salman, who is normally a very tough guy, was almost screaming. The doctors at Lilavati suggested that he visits Saifee hospital in Charni Road. At Saifee, he was advised to undergo angiography,” said the source.

Salman is suffering from trigeminal neuralgia, something his brother Sohail confirmed and said, “Trigeminal neuralgia bahut bada shabd hai. I don`t know what you`re saying. It`s my brother`s health. All I can say is that yes, he is going to the US on August 27 for a second opinion, diagnosis and treatment for his nerve problem.”

Salman Khan won’t be present during the Eid and Ganpati celebrations at his home this time and also will miss this year Eid release ‘Bodyguard’. Health is the topmost priority for the actor now and he is going to take a break from work.

“Salman completed the planned promotions for ‘Bodyguard’ yesterday. He did as much as he could. Health is his first priority right now,” added the source.

John Abraham says 'I never perform at weddings and birthdays',

John Abraham has set some strict rules for himself. He never dances in weddings, never attend award functions and won’t endorse alcohol and cigarattes no matter how hefty might he be offered. He has maintaining these strict rules from the beginning of his career. He refused to dance in a wedding of a Delhi based diamond trader. He was offered Rs 6 crores.

John said, “For me it will be unjust to tell the media where the offer came from but these kinds of offers have been coming to me ever since I started my film career. The only difference over the years has been that with the appearances, the money has gone up every year.”

Speaking about his reservations, the hunk said, “While lots of people tell me that I am stupid to lose so much money, I still refuse to do it. I never perform as a principle at weddings and birthdays. I don’t even go to award functions and I don’t endorse alcohol and cigarettes. There are a lot of don’ts that I have”.

John believes that performing at private weddings or birthdays is an individual choice.

 “I respect people who are doing it and it is a choice of an individual but this is my choice. How can I perform and dance at someone`s wedding when I don`t even know that person. I know people say that John is stupid, so be it,” he said.

Salman Khan suffers from nerve problem

Salman Khan’s health issue has been a hot topic for quite sometime. No source confirmed what the actor is actually suffering from but today his brother Sohail Khan came forward and threw a light on his heath problem. He said that Salman Khan has got nerve problem.

He reveals, "It's just a nerve that has been troubling him for a couple of months now. He got some tests done to get it diagnosed. That's it. Nothing more."

Salman is under doctor’s supervision and soon the problem will be treated. "Now that the problem has been identified, he has been taking medical advice. We're in the process of finding out the best way to treat the problem. Insha Allah, all should be fine," confirms Sohail.

For the last few years, Salman has been very busy with his projects. He got no time to rest but now he has decided to slow down his work.

Says a source, "Lately, Salman has been shooting for his home production  Bodyguard and for Yashraj Films' Ek Tha Tiger simultaneously.

He didn't enjoy the overlapping of projects and has informed his brothers Sohail and Arbaaz that he would be shooting their films Sher Khan and Dabangg 2 respectively next year only.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Shirish Kunder have also been told that their Kick will start only at the beginning of next year. For the rest of this year, Salman will only focus on Ek Tha Tiger."

Recently, Sohail confirms his brother has signed his new film, ‘Sher Khan’ He says, "My movie Sher Khan will now start early next year after Yashraj.

Now he'll do one film at a time ¦ better that way."  Shirish, too, has dropped the idea of roping in Salman for a cameo in Joker.

He confirms, "I understand he has a very busy schedule, so I don't want to bother him. Salman and I are working together in Kick. We will save up the excitement for that project."

Shilpa gets steamy

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has shot a steamy scene for her upcoming film, ‘The Desire: A Journey of a woman’. She will be seen getting cozy with her Chinese co-star Xia Yu in the movie. Shilpa said that it is the demand of the script and she has no qualms in shooting the intimate scene. The scene was shot aesthetically.

The story is about an Odissi dancer and her journey. In the movie, she falls for a Chinese man. "I had no qualms in doing these scenes as these sequences are an integral part of the film, and have been aesthetically shot," says Shilpa.

Says a source, "In the film, a world famous Chinese painter is madly in love with Shilpa's character Gautami, but she does not really respond to him. These sequences are a part of the story building up to how far their friendship goes."

She portrays the character of Gautami. "The film traces Gautami's journey through a number of years. The love story is beautiful and the passion between the two characters is almost like a painting. I would say that it's my character Gautami, who is bold, and not the scenes per say," explains Shilpa.

Ranbir Kapoor cried like a baby

Ranbir Kapoor was not so close with his granduncle Shammi Kapoor before he worked with him in ‘Rockstar’. He bonded with him on the set of ‘Rockstar’ and deeply shattered with his departure. He totally broke down with the demise of his granduncle and cried like a small child.

His emotions surprised his family as he was never so close with his granduncle. Says a source, "Apart from his parents, sister and daadi (Krishna Raj Kapoor), Ranbir is close only to is his uncle, Rajiv Kapoor.

Shahrukh, sues jewelry brand

Shahrukh Khan sues jewelr brand Agni for playing his song ‘Chamak Challo’ from his unreleased film, ‘Ra.One’. The song was sung by international singer Akon and Kareena Kapoor grooved on the song. He was angry as the brand without seeking his permission played the song at the on-going jewelry show.

Agni used the song when Amrita Rao walked the ramp during the fourth day of the fashion week. The song  was leaked on the net few months back and over it when Agni used the song during the fashion show outrage SRK to the utmost.

T-series and Shahrukh Khan’s production send a legal notice to the jewelry brand demanding a compensation of 2 crores rupees.

‘Ra.one’ is SRK’s highly anticipated film and he is very protective about it. It will be diwali bonanza for his fans.

The Legend Shammi Kapoor passes away

Yesteryears actor Shammi Kapoor who is known for his styles, moves and humanity finally bade adieu to the world on Sunday morning. He was 79. For a long time, Shammi Kapoor was suffering from chronic renal problem and was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital last Sunday. He was put on ventilation on Friday.

Actor Amitabh Bachchan tweeted about the sad news around 9 am on Sunday, 'Shammi Kapoorji passed away this morning at 5:15 am .. Rushing there now .. the flamboyance and joi de vivre of the Industry lost!' He last starred in Imtiaz Ali's 'Rockstar'.

Salman blows whistle to Katrina

After break-up, Salman Khan shares a very comfortable relationship with his ex-flame Katrina Kaif.  Kat owes a lot to Salman and for the sake of Sallu and his family, she shoots an item number for his upcoming film, ‘Bodygurad’ for free. In the second half of the song "Aaya re aaya bodyguard', the actress need to blow whistle but she fail to blow a  whistle.

Amitabh moved into tears

During the special screening of ‘Aarakshan’, Amitabh Bachchan moved into tears and his emotions break down not due to the film but due to the banning of the film in some parts of India.

'The first public showing of "Aarakshan" .. and I have cried throughout .. not because of the film ..yes the film does have those moments too .. but because an art form of such intense creativity should be kept away by banning it in certain States of this our beloved country. I stood, as did all of us at the beginning of the show when the National Anthem was played, and sang along with perhaps a handful of others in the sincerest of emotion and belief in an anthem that brings all of us to our feet in respect dignity and most importantly, our pride,' he tweeted.

He also questioned the government. 'Without any knowledge of what the film contains, without any desire to determine the trust and the most basic principles of law of democracy, it has merely strengthened my and many others' fear of the weakness it conveys of our belief in governance and its ethics,' he wrote.

Katrina keeps mum about Ranbir Kapoor

Katrina Kaif is in no mood to talk about her ex-flame Ranbir Kapoor. When media asked Katrina question in relation to Ranbir, she prefers to avoid it. The actress is in no mood to speak about Ranbir. She just can’t stand question related to Ranbir.

It was heard that Kat turned down Ayaan Mukherjee’s film who is a close pals of Kat because the film stars Ranbir Kapoor and she is not willing to act opposite him. Katrina cited dates problem for not signing the movie.

Katrina said that she could not sign Ayaan’s film due to her prior assignments.  She is about to start Yash Raj banner, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ opposite Salman khan.

Superstar Akshay, the first guest on Preity's show

Stunt hero Akshay Kumar is the first guest on Preity Zinta’s new chat show. Preity who starred with Akshay in two films, "Sangharsh" and "Jaan-E-Mann: Let's Fall in Love... Again" had a great time shooting with the star. She rated him full marks.

"Just finished the first day of shooting 4 my show! It was so nice 2 chat with Akki! Full marks 2 him 4 being so amazing and humble Ting!" Preity posted on her Twitter page.

Bipasha Basu gets cozy with Salman Khan

Earlier Bipasha Basu was keeping distance from Salman Khan due to John Abraham’s tiff with the actor but now that John is away from her life, she has started bonding with the star. Buzz is that Bipasha has been chosen to shake a leg in Sohail Khan’s upcoming production, ‘Sher Khan’

Bips is bonding with Salman both professionally and personally.

A source said, “While they were never friends, they weren`t enemies either. She maintained a distance from Salman when she was seeing John. Now that he`s out of the picture, she`s keen on bridging the divide. In fact, she has been a regular at Galaxy Apartments (Khan`s bastion) for Arpita`s Ganesh puja for the last two years. She has been texting him quite often these days, and they even seem to have discovered a shared passion for poetry. She has introduced Salman to her favourite couplets and lines.

Salman will finish work on ‘Sher Khan’ before ‘Dabangg 2’ and there’s a pretty good chance that Bipasha may feature in the film if their friendship continues”.

“Bipasha definitely wants to work with Salman. She feels that several opportunities were lost in the past. Now, if there`s such a chance, she`ll grab it with both hands,” added the source.

Saif-Bebo's engagement in Feb, marriage in Oct

Another royal wedding is on the cards between the chotte nawab Saif Ali Khan and very beautiful, stylish and versatile Kareena Kapoor, younger daughter of Babita and Randhir Kapoor. Saif and Bebo who has been going steady for several years are now ready to walk down the aisle. The couple will get engaged in February 2012 and tie the knot in October.

“Bebo (fondly called by her friends) and Saif are getting married by the end of 2012. The engagement date has also been chalked outaround Valentine’s Day. Bebo is looking forward to the engagement,” says a source close to the actor.

The actress has worked with all the three Khans, Shahrukh, Salman and Aamir and is keen to have all of them in her wedding. She has already informed her friends to keep themselves free during those period and wanted every one of them to be part of her wedding.

“The engagement is also going to be a big celebration. The family members are already talking to their friends to block their dates for the occasion. She wants all her friends to be there at the wedding,” the source adds.

The invitation cards for the engagement ceremony will be distributed in December and they are thinking whether to declare their wedding dates in the card or not.

“Kareena is rushing against time to completeall her film committments. By the middle of next year, they will both be comfortable in their work space as Saif’s own production (also starring Kareena) Agent Vinod will also get released by that time. Saif and Bebo will take fifteen days off both for marriage, and about 10 days for the engagement,” the source adds. The honeymoon destination isBebo’s favourite spot —Switzerland or Italy.

Saif’s mom wanted her bahu to look like a royal bride and hence her wedding dress will be designed by designer Ritu Kumar.

Ekta detained at Mumbai airport

Producer Ekta Kapoor was detained at the Mumbai airport while returning from Bangkok. She was detained and questioned by custom officials for duty evasion. She was carrying goods worth Rs 10 lakh but only declared items worth Rs 8 lakhs.

As she has not declared remaining goods worth Rs 2 lakhs, she has to pay 30,000 plus amount as custom duty. Only after paying the cutom duty, Ekta Kapoor was let off.

 "She was found carrying personal goods for which she did not pay customs duty," said a customs official on the condition of anonymity.

In the past, many celebrities like Anushka Sharma, Bipasha Basu and Minissha Lamba were detained by custom officials. Very recently, Shahrukh Khan was held at the airport for carrying excess luguage but after paying custom duty, he was released.

'I can do a sex scene with Anushka', Ranveer Singh

While on one hand Anushka Sharma said that she shares a volatile relationship with Ranveer Singh then on the same show, Ranveer comments that he can do sex scene with Anushka. Well, Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma share a very complicated relationship. They are friends at times and even don’t take a second to turn foe.

On speaking about his comfortable level with Anushka, the actor said, “I can do a sex scene with Anushka again as she is a very supportive co-star”.

Shilpa shaves off her hair

Shilpa Shetty will be seen in a bald look in her upcoming film, ‘The Desire’.  Shilpa has not shaved off her head but opted for prosthetic make-up.  She reveals the secret, "I opted for prosthetic make up for the film. Getting the bald look was a three hours job. My film is complete now and has been shown at various international film festivals. It has just won the Best Narrative at the Boston Film Festival."

Shilpa Shetty would star opposite a Chinese actor Xia Yu in the film. ‘The Desire’ has been directed by R Sarath and also stars Indian actors like Jaya Prada, Anupam Kher, Sheetal Menon and Sachin Khedekar.

The Desire is a film that speaks about dance, music, art, culture and emotions. It tells the journey of an Indian classical dancer, Goutami who falls in love with a Chinese artist, Jai Leang, whom she meets during a travel assignment.

Vidya Balan couldn’t kiss Tusshar Kapoor

Vidya Balan was supposed to film a kissing scene with Tusshar Kapoor in her upcoming film, ‘Dirty Picture’ but unfortunately the smooching scene between Vidya and Tusshar could not be shot due to dragonflies attack.  Everything was set at the Ramoji studio in Hyderabad and Tusshar was just about to kiss Vidya but all of a sudden bunch of dragonflies entered the shooting area and disrupted everything.

It was getting inside the mouth and clothes of the crew member and to shoot under such circumstances was just impossible. On looking at the call of the situation, director Milan Luthria called off the shoot. The scene has to be shot at night but by the time the dragonflies left, it was almost morning.

The cast flew off to Mumbai and now the kissing scene will be shot in Mumbai later this month.

Director Milan Luthria confirmed the incident, "There were millions of those flies. They would get into our mouths and clothes," he recalls.
