Aamir Khan to host Indio-Pak match party at his house

World Cup fever has gripped Aamir Khan also. Like Shahrukh Khan, he has also planned to watch the interesting match between India and Pakistan at his home with his few close friends. He has taken a break from Reema Kagti's film to host this cricket party.

A source said, "Aamir has always been a huge cricket fan and nothing is bigger than an India vs Pakistan match. Amir wanted to see the match, so he spoke to Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar and asked them to reschedule the shoot for a day.

In fact he also has taken a day off for the finals on the 2nd. Aamir has a close set of friends and he has invited them to his house. The guest list includes Amin Haji, Kunal Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Raju Hirani and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.

Imran Khan will obviously be watching the crucial match at his Mammujaan's house. The guests have been called during the break between the two innings so that everyone can watch the second innings of the match.

However the family members will come right at the start of the match itself. Aamir's mother was in town and will join him to watch the match."

When contacted Aamir Khan said, "It's rare that I miss a cricket match and definitely not this one. And what better way to watch it but with friends."

SRK’s friend’s circle are different from Aamir and King Khan’s bash would be comparatively bigger than Aamir with a whole lot of his friends like Hrithik, Karan Johar, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay and wife Maheep Kapoor, Chunky and Bhavna Pandey will be watching the match with SRK, Aamir has preferred to keep his party a low key affair.

Wedding bells for Veena and Ashmit

Veena Malik and Ashmit Patel's romance started on the reality show, ‘Bigg Boss 4’ and it grew stronger after the show over. They remained in contact even after the show came to an end. Now the duo has decided to take their relationship to the next level. They are all set to tie the knot. Veena has decided to shift her base to Mumbai and hence searching a suitable house.  

Veena Malik has introduced her boyfriend to her parents and received their approval. She has also partied with Amisha and buried all the ill-feelings.

She admits that Asmit is very special to her and she is very fond of him. They are very much in touch and love. So is marriage is on the cards, To this the actress wittily replies "...marriage is like death, you never know when it strikes."

Bollywood Actor Navin Nischol passes away

Bollywood has lost another versatile actor. Veteran TV and film actor Navin Nischol died of cardiac arrest on Saturday. He was 65. The actor was travelling to Pune with filmmaker and actor Randhir Kapoor when he suffered massive attack. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead.

His funeral will be held today. His daughter Natasha and mother Kamla was near him during his last breath. Bollywood mourns his death.

Navin Nischol made a successful debut with ‘Sawan Bhadon’ in 1970 and starred in films like ‘Victoria No 203’, Dhund’ ‘Chhalia’, ‘Parwana’, ‘Buddha Mil Gaya’ and also made appearance in ‘The Burning Train’ and ‘Major Saab’.

He is best remembered as Balraj of popular TV series ‘Dekh Bhai Dekh’. He was recently seen in films like 'Khosla Ka Ghosla' and 'Break Ke Baad'.

Madhuri Dixit demands 5 cr for a film

Madhuri Dixit’s recent visit to India raises heartfelt desire for the filmmakers to cast her again but on listening to her demand, they stepped back. Madhuri Dixit who is married for the last 12 years and a mother of the two, whose comeback pad ‘Aaja Nachle’ badly doomed at the box office quotes a whopping price. She demands 5 crore for a film which is equal the amount of Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

It's true that she is in her 40’s and even today she holds the same charm and can give a run for money to superstars like Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan but quoting such a heavy amount is unjustified. She has showed her prowess in the reality show, ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’

Rikku, her manager confirms, "Yes, Madhuri has asked for five crores. We feel she is definitely worth the price she is quoting. She is a superstar with an enviable fan following even today. So, why shouldn`t she ask for what she deserves? We are sure the filmmakers will gain from the fact that Madhuri Dixit is making a film with them."  

Now the question is whether any producers would fulfill her hefty amount.

Somy Ali, Salman's renewing love!

Salman Khan’s past love is back in his life. She is Pakistani actress and model Somy Ali. Somy and Salman hit the headlines way back in 90’s when their love was at the peak. But things went wrong between them and Somy returned to the US but she did not totally cut ties with her ex beau. All through these years, Sallu and Somy was very much in touch. Now the duo is renewing their love in Bangkok while shooting for ‘Ready’.

Somy arrived in Bangkok to meet Salman in the last days of his shoot. While the rest of the crew stayed at Hotel Sukumvit, Sallu and Somy stayed at the luxurious Hotel Landmark. Though Somy never came to catch Sallu on the set of ‘Ready’ both spend quality time together after the shoot.

"She and Salman spent a lot of time together after the day's shoot would get over. They were seen shopping in various places in Bangkok and looked happy and comfortable like two people who have been with each other for many years," a source from Bangkok confirmed.

"All through her stay Salman was very protective of Somy. She did not come on the sets but he was with her all the time after the shoot.

They were quiet discreet, he didn't want to be in the public eye," he added.

Now, the million dollar question is whether Salman is thinking to settle down with Somy. Can't say, anything can happen, afterall, this is Bollywood.

Amitabh Bachan to host IPL 4 opening ceremony

According to the latest grapevine, Amitabh Bachchan has been roped to host the opening ceremony of IPL 4. The three companies bidding to stage the ceremony desperately wants Big B on board.

Other than Big B, the IPL governing council has also shown eagerness to include actor Aamir Khan to co-host with Big B. Both Aamir and Big B are unavailable for their suitable comments.

Well, if both the superstars are roped in to host the show then the outcome will be mere spectacular.

SRK’s brother-in-law to marry Shweta Verma

Struggling gal Shweta Verma is in the spotlight today. The reason, she is getting married to Gauri Khan’s cousin Rustam Tiwari on March 12. Very few know that during the struggling days, she stayed at King Khan’s residence. Unlike others, Shweta preferred to keep the real story under warp rather than showcasing her link-ups with SRK’s family.

The Mehendi is on 10^th and Gauri Khan and her two kids will fly to Delhi for the marriage celebration. Shweta an actress from a B-grade Hindi movie “Hide & Seek” was dating Rustam from quite some time now.

A source said, “The sangeet is on March 10. The mehndi will be the next day at Gauri's residence at Panchsheel Park. The wedding is on March 12”.

Shahrukh will be attending the wedding on March 12.

‘Slumdog millionair’ child Rubina goes homeless

Rubina Ali who essayed the role of young Latika at the Oscar winning film, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, directed by Hollywood director Danny Boyle is reportedly went homeless after a huge fire broke out in the suburban area of Bandra, Mumbai, last night.

The fire broke out at night and damaged many homes of the slums. No casualities were reported but Rubina panic as she lost her belongings and memories associated with the film.

"We all were at home watching TV when a neighbour came to alert us about the fire. We all rushed out. We spent the entire night at the railway station,” Rubina said.

“I have lost everything including books and precious belongings like photographs, newspaper clippings and memorabilia of the film.

“So far nobody has come to help us.”

While Rubina's father said, “We feel relieved to see that all our family members are safe. But all the good memories of my daughter’s fame have been reduced to ashes. We have lost everything.”

Like others, Latika and her family also spend the night at the Bandra station.

Shahrukh Khan sends SMS to Gautam Gambhir

Awestruck with the win of the two matches so far India has played in the world cup final, Shahrukh Khan has sent a text message to Gautam Gambhir whom the KKR own after the IPL bidding with Rs 11 crore. In the message, Shahrukh Khan congratulated Gautam Gambhir and team India. He also wished the team very best.
"He (Khan) sent me a text message wishing me and the Indian team the best for the World Cup. I appreciated the gesture, it felt good," said Gambhir.
Since the IPL auction, Shahrukh and Gambhir hardly got to meet as King Khan got busy with his films and Gambhir with the world cup preparation. Gambhir is very excited to play for KKR

Kareena Kapoor is not only a glamorous actress but a very talented actor too. Kareena reveals that she loves being called sexy but she has taken a strict decision that she would never don bikini on-screen. She says, "Saif likes me in a bikini. He has no issues with it. Saif actually prefers me glamourous. He liked me in Kambakkht Ishq; he thought I was very hot in it. He says that it is his personal choice but he doesn't necessarily want me to abide by it. Saif likes it when I use a bit of make-up and dress fashionably rather than when I step out looking like a plain-Jane."

Kareena decided to stay away from a bikini shot as her fans prefers her more in desi avatar rather than a bikini.
"The bikini is a highly overrated garment. For me it has lost its' novelty. I have worn it twice on screen. In Tashan, (2008) and in Kambakkht Ishq (2009). However my fans preferred me in Jab We Met (2007), 3-Idiots (2009) and Golmaal 3 (2010) where I stayed steered clear of exposing. I don't have the patience to go through the whole regimen that needs to be in place for your body to look bikini-perfect. So I've decided that I will not wear a bikini on screen again.

Shahrukh to act with Leonardo Dicaprio

f Indian audience goes gaga over Shahrukh Khan then the Titanic star Lionardo Dicaprio rules the heart of the western audience. Guess what will happen if these two global stars come together for a film. There would undoubtedly be huge bombardment. Well, we can expect the unexpected now as Shahrukh Khan and Leonardo Dicaprio are coming together for the film ‘Xtrme City’. The film will be directed by Paul Schrader. Scorsese will co-produce along with David Weisman. Mushtaq Shiekh the screenwriter of Ra.One has made the deal possible and he will be co-writing the film with Paul Schrader.
A source connected to the film says, "Mushtaq and Paul have been working on the script for a year now. The two, along with SRK and Paul met in Berlin last year at a meeting coordinated by Shiekh."
It will be jointly produced by Shahrukh Khan’s Red Chillies in India and Scorsese's company Sikelia Productions in Hollywood.

Kangana refuses to wear bikini

The sexy babe Kangana Ranaut at the last minute refused to wear a two-piece for David Dhawan’s ‘Rascals’. She is shooting in Thailand with Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan. The scene requires Kangana to come out of sea beach in two piece.
At first Kangana was very excited to don the two-piece and she even shopped for the outfit but backed out at the last minute.
"Kangna had even told her friends that she was very excited to wear a two-piece and was looking forward to the day. Nobody could understand what prompted her to change her mind," a source informs.
A source revealed to the tabloid, "Kangna felt that she had put on a lot of weight during the making of Tanu Weds Manu."
Kangana not only said no to bikini but she in the mid-way flew back to India. David Dhawan is very upset with her decision "He had combinations dates for Sanjay, Ajay and her, so he expected her to be there in Thailand with the guys. But she was adamant to go. So Dhawan had to speed up the shoots a bit," added the source.
